Rhubarb Plum Melon Smoothie

Rhubarb Plum Melon Smoothie
Spread the taste

Frozen fruits are my favorite part of making a smoothie. Available year round irrespective of the season and pre- cut to use right away without having to worry about saving left over fruit, frozen fruit is my go to on busy afternoons. Another advantage that I like, is that I can skip adding ice. Sometimes, I freeze the fruit myself if I find exceptionally good fresh ones.

Rhubarb, if you have not tasted it before is very sour and usually is dipped in some form of sugar to be eaten. Also, note that Rhubarb is very high in calcium oxalate and can lead to kidney stones if taken in excess quantities in some people. Rhubarb is high in potassium and many antioxidants .
