It is a simple logical conclusion that unless we nourish the gut and maintain it in a robust shape, we cannot enjoy eating which sometimes includes even overloading the gut in our busy modern lifestyles.

This simple tea is a very thought out blend of various herbs and spices that promote gut function.

Ginger-A common ingredient in alternative medicine, has been shown to increase stomach motility, stimulate secretion of bile and relieve nausea, vomiting sensation.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cardamom crushed with a pestle or can use 1 tsp cardamom powder
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1/2 Tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder or can use 1/2 inch grated fresh turmeric root
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 Tbsp fennel
  • 1 tsp lemon or lime juice
  • 15-20 goji berries add about 5-7 in each cup at the end
  • 1 small stick lemongrass optional

Instructions
 

  • Take a deep pan, add the water on medium heat.
    Add all the ingredients mentioned above except goji berries and let it some to a boil in over 10 min.
  • Strain into serving cups and then add a few goji berries when piping hot.
  • Wait for 5-10 min before enjoying the wonderful fragrant and soothing tea. The goji berries will give you a ' nice bite' feeling along with sweetness.
